LI: To identify how technology has changed when we consider how it was fit for purpose.
Today we were looking at the change of technology. Over the past 100 years, technology has changed in order to make things easier. This is called fit for purpose. Transportation devices have become more convenient compared to their initial design.
Fit for purpose is when something is useful. For example, land transport, a car. Since cars are vehicles that transport goods, people, and go long distances, it wouldn’t be fit for purpose if it was broken, and didn’t work at all.
I enjoyed doing this activity because its was interesting to see which cars were fit for purpose when it was driven many years ago.
An interesting fact I learned during this activity was how much more things got much more better these days, and with better technology.
